Accommodation: Kunming

This morning, we will travel a distance of 78 kilometers (approximately 1.5 hours by car) to visit the Shilin Scenic Area, renowned as the "God's Bonsai." You can take a sightseeing vehicle to tour both the Great Stone Forest and the Small Stone Forest in sequence, closely observing and learning about various unique karst geological features, while also listening to captivating legends about the stone forest. After the tour, we will return to downtown Kunming to visit Yuantong Temple, one of the city's oldest Buddhist temples with a history spanning over 1,200 years. It is the only temple in China that accommodates Han Buddhism, Theravada Buddhism, and Tibetan Buddhism simultaneously, enjoying great renown in southwestern China and Southeast Asia with a thriving community of devotees.

Day3 One-day tour from Kunming to Dali: Chongsheng Temple's Three Pagodas + Erhai Lake + Ancient City of Dali

Dining: Includes breakfast and lunch

Accommodation: DaLi

This morning, we will take you to the train station to board the high-speed train from Kunming to Dali (approximately a 2-hour journey). Upon arrival at Dali Railway Station, our local guide and driver will meet you at the exit and begin your trip to Dali.
First, you will visit Dali's iconic landmark—the Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple. This complex consists of one large pagoda, two smaller ones, and the magnificent Chongsheng Temple behind them. Built during the Nanzhao Kingdom period (over a thousand years ago), these pagodas exemplify typical Tang Dynasty architectural style, serving both spiritual protection and aesthetic appeal. Chongsheng Temple was once the imperial monastery of the Nanzhao and Dali dynasties, renowned as the "Buddhist Capital," offering visitors an opportunity to explore Buddhist culture. Don't forget to capture beautiful travel photos at the reflection pool located in front of the pagodas.
After lunch, visit Erhai Lake, renowned as the "Pearl of the Plateau." Located at the foot of Cangshan Mountain, its azure waters and breathtaking scenery have made it a world-famous destination. You can cycle along the lake's western shore to fully appreciate the stunning views of mountains and water, as well as the traditional Bai ethnic dwellings along the way.
In the evening, you can freely explore Dali Ancient City, stroll along its cobblestone streets to admire the still vibrant Ancient City Gate Tower, Wuhua Tower, and Foreigners' Street after a millennium of history, or visit Renmin Road to experience the lively daily life of the local Bai people, enjoying this relaxing and delightful time.

Day5 Lijiang One-Day Tour: Yulong Snow Mountain + Blue Moon Valley + Baisha Murals + Lijiang Ancient Town (Sifang Street)

Dining: breakfast included

Accommodation: Lijiang

This morning, you will visit the renowned Yulong Snow Mountain, a sacred site of the Naxi people named after its winter appearance resembling a jade dragon. Taking the cable car, you'll ascend to Yunshanping at 3,240 meters above sea level amidst breathtaking scenery. Nestled within pristine spruce forests, this vast grassland offers the perfect vantage point to admire Yulong Snow Mountain.
After enjoying the scenery, take the cable car down the mountain and transfer to a sightseeing bus heading to Blue Moon Valley. The valley features four lakes and one river, with Yuye Lake and Baishui River offering particularly stunning views. On sunny days, Yuye Lake's waters are crystal-clear and a deep blue, resembling a precious mirror, while Baishui River derives its name from the white stones along its course that turn the water entirely white.
Self-funded activity: If you're interested in Lijiang's culture, visit Ganhaizi in the afternoon for the grand outdoor performance "Impression Lijiang" —a one-hour show featuring music and dance that vividly showcases the traditional lifestyle of the local Naxi people.
After leaving Yulong Snow Mountain, we proceed to Baisha Ancient Town, the former capital of the Naxi people, where visitors can admire the historically significant Baisha Murals. Most of these murals were created during the Ming and Qing dynasties, and their most distinctive feature is the coexistence of Buddhist figures from Chinese Buddhism, Taoism, and Lamaism within a single mural—a truly rare phenomenon.
Upon returning to Lijiang, you'll have the chance to revisit the stunning Ancient Town of Lijiang. We recommend walking to Sifang Street, where you'll find numerous shops selling Naxi handicrafts and local specialties, along with vibrant bars. On sunny evenings, locals often gather around bonfires for lively dancing performances.
