Day2 Chengdu Classic Day Trip: Chengdu Panda Base + Sanxingdui Museum + Jinli (Plan B: City tours during peak season)
Dining: Includes breakfast and lunch
Accommodation: Chengdu
After breakfast, you will travel approximately 17 kilometers by vehicle to the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base located in the northern suburbs of Chengdu to visit and observe the adorable Chinese national treasure—the giant panda, as well as learn about their living habits and conservation efforts. The Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base, commonly referred to as the Chengdu Panda Base, houses over 100 giant pandas, making it the facility with the largest number of captive giant pandas worldwide. Here, you can witness delightful daily scenes of giant pandas of various ages playing, eating, climbing mountains and trees, and sleeping within the park, or follow a guide to explore the Panda Museum to learn more about their stories. Additionally, if visiting in autumn, you may have the opportunity to see adorably cute panda cubs at the Moon Birth Chamber and Sun Birth Chamber.
Important note: Giant pandas prefer cool weather and are more active in the morning. We recommend arriving early to observe their natural behavior.
In the afternoon, you will travel by vehicle for approximately one hour to visit the Sanxingdui Museum, renowned as "a site that has lain dormant for three millennia and astonished the world upon its discovery." [Sanxingdui] was unearthed in 1929 and remains the largest, longest-lasting, and most culturally rich ancient kingdom site discovered so far in southwestern China. Here, you will admire the majestic bronze standing figures, the exquisitely crafted bronze divine trees, gold masks as thin as cicada wings, and gold staffs adorned with intricate patterns... Following your guide's lead, you will journey through the dust of history, uncover the mysteries of ancient Shu civilization, and unlock the fascinating stories behind these artifacts.
After the tour, return to downtown Chengdu and stroll through Jinli Ancient Street, the oldest and most vibrant commercial district in Chengdu, with a history dating back to the Qin and Han dynasties. Here, you can explore and savor traditional Chengdu cuisine, watch fascinating folk performances, and admire the beauty of China's traditional architecture.
Plan B: Chengdu Panda Base + Chengdu Museum + Kuanzhai Alley + People's Park. Note: During peak season, the Sanxingdui Museum experiences heavy visitor traffic on holidays, and tickets are often unavailable. If all tickets are sold out, your itinerary will be adjusted to Plan B – a city tour of Chengdu. The changes are as follows:
In the afternoon, you will visit the largest comprehensive urban museum in southwestern China—the Chengdu Museum, an excellent destination to learn about Chengdu's history, culture, and art. The museum houses a rich collection of over 200,000 artifacts spanning from the Neolithic Age to the Republican era, including bronze ware, gold and silver objects, painted bricks, stone carvings, ceramics, calligraphy and paintings, furniture, among others. Among its highlights are the humorous Eastern Han drum-beating singing pottery figurines, the enigmatic Sanxingdui bronze human faces, the exquisite lacquer figurines with acupuncture points, and the delicate gilt-outworkered incense pouches—all worthy of close appreciation. Additionally, the museum showcases China's intangible cultural heritage, such as shadow puppetry, puppet theater, Sichuan opera, Sichuan cuisine, and teahouse culture, which are truly breathtaking and allow you to experience up close the charm of Chengdu's brilliant historical culture and unique folk traditions.
Next, you will visit Kuangzhai Alley, hailed as one of Sichuan's "Ten Most Beautiful Streets." As the only surviving ancient street from the Qing Dynasty in Chengdu, it preserves the authentic charm of old Chengdu and is an ideal place to experience its leisurely, slow-paced lifestyle. Strolling through the alley allows you to admire exquisite traditional architecture, savor authentic local delicacies such as Dandan Noodles, Spicy Rabbit Head, and skewers, and capture stunning travel photos.
Next, continue your visit to People's Park, hailed as one of Chengdu's most beautiful parks, to experience the city's leisurely culture and the locals' slow-paced lifestyle up close. Here, you can order a cup of rich gaiwan tea in a centuries-old teahouse, sit comfortably on bamboo chairs with friends for a relaxed chat, try the intangible cultural heritage ear-cleaning therapy (at your own expense) to enjoy that delightful tingling sensation that reaches the top of your head, watch vibrant mahjong games, or explore the famous matchmaking corner. With some luck, you might even encounter locals practicing square dancing, Tai Chi, or playing traditional China instruments.

Day3 high-speed train journey from Chengdu to Chongqing: Liziba Station + Kuixing Tower + Jiefangbei Monument + Hot Pot Restaurant + Hongyadong Cave
Dining: Includes breakfast and dinner
Accommodation: Chongqing
This morning, you will take a high-speed train from Chengdu to Chongqing, with a journey time of approximately 1–2 hours. Upon arrival, meet your tour guide and begin today's trip in Chongqing.
The first stop is [Lizi Ba Station], where you can witness firsthand the globally renowned spectacle of "light rail passing through buildings." This is China's first rail transit station co-located with commercial and residential buildings, situated on Chongqing Metro Line 2. We will pause at a designated viewing area to offer you an immersive experience of this breathtaking sight of light rail traversing structures. Be sure to capture this futuristic scene with your smartphone or camera.
Next, visit the Kuixing Tower—one of Chongqing's iconic "8D magical" landmarks. While it appears to be an ordinary city square, standing at its edge and looking down reveals a staggering 22-story vertical drop, creating a truly awe-inspiring sensation as if suspended in midair. This architectural marvel is also the perfect place to experience Chongqing's remarkable three-dimensional charm.
Next, visit the Jiefangbei Monument—a 27.5-meter-tall stone monument that stands as Chongqing's iconic symbol, bearing witness to the city's resilience and determination during World War II. Its base still preserves precious memories of that era. Don't miss taking a commemorative photo with the inscription "Hello, Chongqing" to capture your first impression of this mountain city.
During dinner time, enjoy a authentic Chongqing hot pot together. As one of the birthplaces of this dish, the spicy flavors here are truly exemplary. Sitting around the stove, savoring a slice of tripe and taking a sip of icy beverage, you can immerse yourself in the genuine warmth and vibrancy of Chongqing's daily life amidst the steaming atmosphere.
Next, visit Hongyadong by the Jialing River – one of Chongqing's most iconic cultural and tourism landmarks. Renowned for its traditional Bayu stilted house architecture, dazzling nighttime light shows, and the unique 8D mountain city spectacle, it offers perfect opportunities for exploration and capturing magical 8D photos where buildings appear to float. Especially at night, when the brilliant lights illuminate the area, visitors can experience a real-life version of "Spirited Away." To capture the most stunning night views, you don't need to climb a bridge – standing beneath the Qiansimen Jialing River Bridge or in front of the Jiangbeizui Grand Theatre on the opposite bank will allow you to enjoy this enchanting nighttime scene.
After the tour, you will return to your hotel in downtown Chongqing to rest.

Day4: One-day tour of Wulong, Chongqing – Wulong Karst Area (the Three Natural Bridges)
Dining: Includes breakfast and lunch
Accommodation: Chongqing
This morning, you will travel by vehicle to the Wulong Karst Tourism Area, a journey of approximately 2.5 hours. Designated as a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site, it houses three world-renowned natural bridges—the Tianlong Bridge, Qinglong Bridge, and Heilong Bridge. These massive limestone arch bridges span the canyon with majestic grandeur and served as one of the filming locations for the movie Transformers: Age of Extinction.
Upon arriving at the scenic area, begin by viewing the full panorama of the canyon from the observation deck at the entrance to experience the awe-inspiring vista from such a high vantage point. Then take the sightseeing elevator directly to the valley floor and officially embark on this "core exploration" journey.
Along the hiking trail, you'll encounter these masterpieces of nature:
Tianlong Bridge: The most magnificent of the three bridges, its arches rise high like an open natural gateway welcoming every visitor. Standing beneath it and looking up, one truly appreciates what is meant by "masterful craftsmanship," a sight that leaves a profound impression.
Tianfu Official Post Station: A Tang Dynasty-style ancient post station nestled deep in a valley, featuring blue tiles and gray walls that exude timeless charm. It served as the filming location for Transformers 4 and now stands quietly as one of the most story-rich scenes captured on screen.
Qinglong Bridge: Locals affectionately call it the "Guandao Bridge" because its arch resembles a vertically suspended Qinglong Yanyue Sword. The bridge's structure harmonizes beautifully with the surrounding verdant cliffs and lush forests, making every photo taken there instantly Instagram-worthy.
Black Dragon Bridge: The most serene of the three bridges, its arches are deep and dark; stepping inside, one can hear the gentle murmur of water. Fine springs often cascade from the walls like mist or silk threads, bringing a refreshing, moist breeze that makes one naturally slow their pace.
Travel Tips:
Shoes: The scenic area features numerous steps and uneven surfaces; please wear comfortable, non-slip athletic or hiking shoes.
Hydration and Energy: It is recommended to carry a small amount of drinking water and light snacks for timely energy replenishment during travel.
Photography: The canyon offers vast open spaces, making a wide-angle lens ideal for capturing its grandeur; when approaching the waterfall, ensure your equipment is waterproof.
Clothing: Due to the low temperatures and high humidity in the canyon, it is recommended to wear multiple layers of clothing that are easy to put on and take off. During the rainy season, a lightweight raincoat should be prepared.
